Our ʻOhana. Our Kuleana.

Built on Respect, Backed by Action

Kanaka Pride Portables wasn’t just born to rent toilets. It grew out of real kuleana. After working in hospitality and environmental services, Smokey and Ipolani saw a genuine need for trustworthy, on-time, hassle-free portable sanitation on the West Side. They started this business because too many times, folks were stuck with late drop-offs, dirty units, or no service at all.

So they made a promise:

1

Show up when you say you will.

2

Keep everything clean and professional.

3

Serve with aloha—from their backyard to yours.

4

Treat every customer’s property with the same care they’d give at home.

Whether you’re hosting a weekend gathering, managing a construction site, or setting up an off-grid home, Kanaka Pride brings reliable service backed by local values.

Do It Right or No Do Em’ At All

We run this business the same way we live — with kuleana, respect, and pride in what we do. Every service is a chance to show up for our island, our people, and our values.

Meet Smokey & Ipolani

Smokey

Smokey’s the kind of guy who doesn’t talk big. He just shows up and gets the job done right. With a background in environmental services and a strong work ethic, he’s all about clean units, no shortcuts, and hauling with pride. If you’ve seen him behind the wheel or in the field, you know he’s the real deal.

Ipolani

Ipolani brings the heart and hustle to the business. She’s the organizer, the communicator, and the one making sure every customer gets taken care of. With her experience in hospitality and event planning, she knows how to make things run smooth and bring a personal touch to every service.

Not all our porta potties are pink. Just the ones that matter most.

Our pink units are reserved for short-term events and serve as a tribute to our daughter Kiana. Her memory inspires us to give back, so we donate a portion of proceeds from these special rentals to support cancer research.

The full story lives in our hearts — and on our Mission page.
